Happy May!!!
Thank you also for your participation in a successful Parent/Teacher Conferences, where your child(ren)'s
teacher shared updates on you child(ren)'s progress, growth, development and milestones, and work
together on different ways to support your child(ren) through life at the Center and beyond!
April has ended with much needed rains and the cool weather that makes us want to miss our warmer
seasons... April showers 🌦 bring May flowers! 🌷 Now it's time for us all to braise ourselves for the coming
of warmer weather. 🌞
Following are some important and exciting announcements!:
WORK DAY is coming and we need VOLUNTEERS! Families, extended family members and friends are
all welcome and encouraged to participate on SATURDAY, MAY 18TH, FROM 8:00AM THROUGH 11:00AM.
Refreshments will be available starting at 7:30am! Staff from the Center and the Church will attend,
including church members! HELP YOUR CHILD'S CENTER GET A FACELIFT! Cleaning, organizing and
repairs will be involved. Any help, volunteering and donations are welcome!
SUMMER CAMP is almost here! We are excited to welcome school age students entering 1st to entering
4th grades, but the space in that class is limited and we want to ensure priority for our current families.
REGISTER NOW! Registration forms are now available and posted in the office.
Thank you, families and staff members for continuing to do your part on preventing contagious diseases from spreading in the Center. PLEASE CONTINUE TO KEEP YOUR CHILDREN HOME IF THEY, OR ANYONE IN THE HOUSEHOLD IS UNWELL.
Important information regarding Covid 19 guidances can be found at the end of the Newsletter!
Please review the REMINDERS with all important items to keep in mind, including, and not limited to:
~ CLOSING SHOT, LOCKING/LATCHING SECURELY BEHIND YOU ANY DOORS AND GATES IN THE CENTER
for everyone's safety, including, and especially the children's.
~ PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE OR TEXT THROUGH PROCARE WHEN RUNNING LATE OR IF YOUR CHILD(REN) WILL BE ABSENT with enough time in advance to ensure staffing and meals.
~ PROVIDE AT LEAST A WEEK'S WORTH OF SUPPLIES IMMEDIATELY after your child's teacher has informed you are running low, such as DIAPERS and WIPES or BEDDING and CLOTHING.
~ PROVIDE FRESHLY WASHED CLEAN BED SHEETS/BLANKETS EACH WEEK.
Check on your child's extra clothes for size/weather updating and remember
AT LEAST 3 TO 5 SETS OF CLEAN EXTRA CLOTHES PLUS A SPARE PAIR OF SHOES
MUST ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR CHILD AT THE CENTER.
Please know that, part of the Director/Supervisor's duties, is to occasionally be in the classrooms
as an active part of the ratio. ProCare texting/updating on behalf of the supervised classroom during those times is common.
In addition, also as part of a Director’s duties is texting parents on behalf of a
teacher regarding events, incidents, ouchies, updates, etc.
SIDE NOTE:
Clear morning reports are required on ProCare, updating the Center of pertinent information from before drop-off.
These notes may include any incidents/accidents that may have occurred at home
prior to dropping your child off at the Center, including, but not limited to:
ouchies, marks, scratches, or notes regarding napping, diaper changing, feeding and moods!
These notes may also include unusual pick-up times or people.

Wrap the paper plates with foil.
Set out the sharpies
Draw/color a sunshine on it applying with gentle pressure.
Adults may create a hole to hang for display or set somewhere for decoration.
REMINDERS
~Sign your child in and out each day!
~Please allow time and attention when dropping off/picking up
for brief questions/reports the staff may have regarding your child.
~Please ensure that your infant/toddler’s bottles and sippy-cups (including lids) are clearly labeled.
~Sippy-cups are exclusively for water NO MILK/JUICE IS TO BE SERVED IN THE SIPPY CUPS, thank you!
~Clean, labeled bedding (sheet/blanket) is required each Monday. Please take bedding home each Friday.
~Personal belongings must be taken home at the end of each day, including sippycups, toys, etc.
~All belongings must be labeled with your child's name, including shoes, jackets, sippy-cups.
~2-3 extra sets of labeled clothes (including 1 pair of shoes) must be kept at the Center at all times.
~Whenever clothing is sent home in a bag to wash, a clean set must be provided the following day.
~Diapered children must be dropped off with a clean and dry diaper/pull-up. Please allow some time for the staff to perform
a thorough health and diaper check and be prepared to change your child as needed.
~Preschoolers' parents: Potty training is an important part of a preschooler's development,
and it takes implementing potty training at home in order for it for school's efforts to show progress.
~Please ensure your child's hands have been washed prior to entering the cafeteria.
~Please ensure that the doors and gates securely locked and latched behind you each time used.
~Meal times:
Infants/Toddlers' A.M. snack is 9am, lunch at 11am, and P.M. snack at 2:10pm.
Preschoolers A.M. snack is 9:30am, lunch at 11:30pm, and P.M. snack at 3pm.
Meals will only be held for 15 minutes after served. Please feed your child before drop off if arriving late.
~Our Center is a peanut free institution, please read labels of any food to ensure this is followed.
~We are nutrition aware and will not feed unhealthy food to children, including sweets/cookies/pastries/chips. If approved by the parent, please feed these items to the child before entering the Center.
~Please keep your child at home when sick INCLUDING FEVER, CONGESTION, RUNNY NOSE, SHORTNESS OF BREATH, COUGHING, SNEEZING, or if your child has RASHES, VOMITING, DIARRHEA. A child will be sent home when vomiting/diarrhea with a total of 2 vomits or 3 watery stools. A child may return to school 24 hours after the fever breaks. A doctor's note will be required upon return if the child was ill with fever, rashes, vomiting or diarrhea. A THOROUGH HEALTH CHECK WILL BE PERFORMED AT DROP-OFF TIME, please allow ample time for this. If one of two or more enrolled siblings is ill, the remaining siblings must stay home as well until no signs of sickness are present in the family.
