Programs

Infant/Toddler Program – 6 weeks to 23 months.

Caregivers provide a safe and nurturing environment, active play, verbal skills development, physical development, and encourage appropriate independence. We follow your childcare plan as done at home. Children age 18 months are introduced to the Zoophonics program through song and play. The teacher child ratio is 1:4

Preschool Program - 2 to 5 years

Teachers prepare your child for future success by helping them meet their developmental milestones.  Zoophonics, a Multisensory Language Arts Program, is utilized to encourage language development. It uses a "kinesthetic, multi-modal approach to learning all aspects of language arts, including vocabulary development and articulation, based on phonics and phonemic awareness.” Skills taught include site words, rhyming words, shapes, number symbols, and sequencing, time concepts (days of the week, months, etc). The teacher child ratio is 1:12 with classrooms as large as 15 children and two teachers.

Children engage in language, art, music, numbers, reading, motor skill development and social adjustment through game-like instruction that allows for exploration. They utilize a hands-on curriculum to advance social and self-help skills while developing language and thinking abilities. Each month is planned with a different theme, opening up children’s enthusiasm for learning and to help expand their knowledge and skills in different areas.

Classrooms

Classrooms are designed to maximize space for multiple activities.  Big closets allow for maximum storage of supplies for arts & crafts, books, and other needs.  The rooms are spacious, with multiple learning areas and play stations for children to explore through active play.

Meals / Snacks

A hot lunch and two snacks are provided every day to children in both Infant and Pre-school Programs. For children in the Infant Program a plan is adapted to meet each child’s developmental need. Formula is provided as part of this program. Breastfeeding mothers are encouraged to continue as they are able. Refrigerated storage is provided onsite. Pre-school age children eat their lunch communally in our lunchroom. Families may send a healthy snack if they so choose.

Playgrounds

There are three age-appropriate playgrounds used daily.  The lower playground is for Pre-school age children. There are several pieces of playground equipment and tricycles for riding on the paved portion. This playground is also shaded most of the year. The upper playground is for Toddlers with numerous pieces of interactive equipment and areas of shade. Infants are often taken out for a ride around the facility in our special strollers. The grassy playground is a large area where we host our water activities, picnics and fun days.
